BRUSSELS’ ANCIENT CARS RALLY

How discover Brussels in a special way ? and why no in an old-time car ?

Through this visit, the following topics will be proposed to you : Art Nouveau, Art Déco, Sgraffites, Architecture and Universal Exhibition, Royal Family, Comics, History, Belgian Painting.

Receive a map of Brussels on which the different places where you have to go will be indicated (No GPS) and you will instruct the driver where to go (the vintage cars needing to be driven by experienced pilots). You also get all the addresses of the itinerary, a false note, a Polaroid-camera, .... At each stopping place, you will need to make a visit as to find out the answers to the questions of the quiz.

REMEMBER « THE DUCK », ALSO NAMED « DOLLY » ?

After the Second World War, Citroën built this 2CV car that had nicknames all over the world. We propose you a special countryside rally in these legendary and mythical cars. During a couple of hours, a half-day or a full day, discover the countryside right outside of Brussels and enjoy a rally. The group is divided into teams of 4 persons. Each team gets a road book to find their way throughout the day. Several stops are organized during which the participants have some activities to do. If you take the full day, a lunch with soft drinks only is arranged for you. At the end of the rally, the results are given to everyone and the winning team gets its trophy.

BRUSSELS' CITYGAME

The CityGame in Brussels is an interactive competition throughout the city. The teams will get a Mobile phone connected to internet and a GPS : they do not get the global itinerary when departing … they will need to discover it with the quiz. There is a presentation time for the teams' captains and the GPS navigators, after that any communication will be done through the Nokia GPS : the itinerary information, the questions and answers as well as the evolution of the score. This is how the players will be discovering the city : throughout the proofs. Moreover, during this whole game, the teams will have to take pictures with their phone and those will be posted on the internet page together with the final score. How will they win ? By being logical, inventive and by conveniently using their GPS.

BICYCLE RIDE IN BRUGES

Visiting Bruges by bike, it’s easy, pleasant, different and interesting. With this it is possible to discover hidden corners that people visiting Bruges by foot do not discover. Your guide will lead you by sinuous alleys in front of windmills, medieval fortifications, peaceful channels. During the circuit, you will have the opportunity to listen to attractive stories about the medieval age and merchants of Bruges.

BEST OF BELGIAN BEERS

This interactive tour is done inside the city centre, on walking. Guided visits will lead you to Manneken Pis, the Grand'Place, the Royal St-Hubert Galeries, ... And during those walks you will be able to taste different beers accompanied with belgian cheese and, of course, learn how beer is done, tasted, drank, ... and become yourself a beer-specialist!

HISTORICAL BOATS-LIFTS AND STRÉPY-THIEU BOATS-LIFT

The funicular boats-lift of Strépy-Thieu has been started in 1982 and finished in 2002. It allows boats to clear a difference in level of 73 metres. At the moment it is the biggest WORLD’s boats-lift !

Sailing on the hundred years canal, you will use the unique hydraulics lifts still working nowadays in the whole WORLD ! They are, by the way, UNESCO’s Worldwide Heritage ! Each of those 4 lifts were built to help boats passing water level differences of 17 metres each, by ONLY using the power of the water.
